I have visited my local "hackerspace", where they have all sorts of
electronics equipment, embedded computers, and a variety of tools for
building interesting projects. Although the people there had not
installed Libreboot/Coreboot (at least as far as I could tell), they
were interested in helping me, and it is better than having to buy all
the parts myself.

For those near Seattle, ALTSpace has some members who are interested in
and experienced with Libreboot. See airlighttimespace.org for details
about the space.

I've submitted a talk on libreboot for Seattle GNU/Linux Fest 2016, and
I along with a few others are trying to organize a Libreboot
install-party at or near that event as well. The Fest page is at
seagl.org and you can see details of available sessions there as they
are approved.
