Here's mine (using nnimap):

(setq gnus-select-method  
      '(nnimap "mail.xobjex.com"
               (nnimap-address "mail.xobjex.com")
               (nnimap-stream ssl)
               (nnimap-list-pattern ("INBOX" "Mail/*"))
               )
      )
(setq gnus-secondary-select-methods 
      '(
        (nntp "chi.news.speakeasy.net")
        )
      )
