I meant to say "Directories are never removed in CVS so "recovery" is
NOT required." I should summarize the previous response and say that
recovery from the attic is automatic; no joins required; just use a tag.


NOTE: Although you cannot remove a directory you can certainly remove
the contents and then checkout using the prune switch to discard: cvs co
-P. So in effect you can remove a directory.
