CVS 1.11 w2k client/linux server - still broken? |

Hello all,
I'm getting the:
cvs checkout: cannot open CVS/Entries for reading: No such file or
directory
cvs [checkout aborted]: cannot write <CVS/Template file>: No such file
or directory
... problem from my w2k client (though the same module co's fine
locally on linux) and I've noticed it reported here on the list
before. For a while people kept saying that this was because the co
dir needed to be cleared but I think most recently, people have
decided this is a bug in the Win 32 client.
Can anyone confirm this for me?
Can anyone confirm this is only for *some* repo modules, not all
(wacky)?
Is there a new build of the client (I don't see one on sourceforge)?
Any workarounds?
Any help greatly appreciated,
colm
