Is changing to .hypb directory really necessary with exec-shell-cmd

I see that exec-shell-cmd moves to ~/.hypb directory, is that really
necessary?


I use:  Editor:      GNU Emacs 28.0.50 (build 16, x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ 
Version 3.22.12, cairo version 1.14.8)

        Sys Type:    x86_64-pc-linux-gnu
        OS Type:     gnu/linux
