I think you want OCTAVE_HOME = c:\Octave\3.2.4_gcc-4.4.0. At least, that's what worked for me.
rebooted, and tried to run the program, no success. path problem is still there. I tried to find sysdep.cc on the installed location, it is not there. I think it is "not" part of the compiled octave. Maybe the source have it. Now what to do, check what ?
Yes, that code is not in the compiled installation. It's in the source code tree at http://www.gnu.org/software/octave/download.html (download the tar.gz file).
