That guy is just being a jerk to you ("Read the manual"... yeah. Anyway.)
I'm tired of seeing self-proclaimed elitists act like condescending pricks,
so, here's what you do: use the command 'diary on', which will create a
file named 'diary'. This will record all of your inputs and the outputs in
a text file. You can open this with notepad. Use 'diary off' to make
octave stop recording. That simple.
