The dependencies of 3.4, are similar to those of 3.2. I think[1] that
apt-get command will get all the depencies[2] of 3.2, which should
also fix your 3.4 prob.

For linux, I mostly use openSuSE, so I don't know apt-get too well.

[2]
Not just depencies, but development versions with headers, so you can
compile using them.
