In the past, when I have looked at Matlab documentation, I have not
found it to be any better than the documentation in Octave.
Admittedly, I haven't looked at Matlab's documentation very often,
only when I got an unexpected result in Octave that I couldn't figure
out from the Octave documentation. I don't think that consulting the
Matlab docs has ever really helped.
I also always figure that the Octave documentation is accurate for the
version of Octave that I am using, and the Matlab documentation is
accurate for the version of Matlab that it describes, but I doubt that
either is completely accurate about the other.
