newbieQuestion: how do I open .m files with octave on a windows machine?

I have m files in the folder specified below:

C:\Octave\3.2.4_gcc-4.4.0\share\octave\3.2.4\m\LarsenMarxMatlabFiles

I have tried to addpath in Octave, and I've tried to doubleclick on specific .m files, both without success.

I want Octave to open .m files on my computer, but I didn't find the Octave program in Program files, or in the folder Octave, while browsing for a program to open .m files with.
