octave installation problem

Hi

I need help in installing octave,

I have downloaded octave-3.2.4.tar.bz2, and unzipped to a folder octave-3.2.4.

when I run ./confconfigure:


configure: error: in `/home/bijoy/work/software_bkps/octave-3.2.4':
configure: error: C preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check
See `config.log' for more details.

I have attached the config.log 

Could anyone help me to resolve this issue please ?
