You're building 3.2.x, correct?
I haven't built 3.2.4 in several weeks. However, you can compare my result
below to yours.
$ touch f77-fcn.c
$ make
making f77-fcn.d from f77-fcn.c
gcc-4 -c -g -I/sw/include -I/sw/include/freetype2 -I/sw/lib/flex/include
-I/sw/include -fPIC -I. -I../.. -I../../liboctave -I../../src
-I../../libcruft/misc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -mieee-fp -Wall -W -Wshadow -Wformat -g
-I /sw/include -O3 f77-fcn.c -o pic/f77-fcn.o
f77-fcn.c: In function ‘xstopx_’:
f77-fcn.c:64: warning: function declared ‘noreturn’ has a ‘return’ statement
warning: run make in parent directory to update libraries
