Well, this is a different story. The instructions above were made to
send patches to the developers. Those patches, if accepted, will go
into the next version. Usually, with patches to the manual, you do not
have a urgence to correct your local copy.
You want to install loclly if you contribute patches to the code, but if
you do so you usually know what to do do compile and install. None of
this is required for contributing to the manual.
