I haven't installed octaviz on Tiger. hdf5 is a package that fink
should have installed with octave-2.1.71.
See if you have the file
/sw/include/hdf5.h .
You may need to put -I/sw/include in the CFLAGS variable for octaviz
I am forwarding this email to the octave-help list so that others can
advise you.
