The error messages you see during configuration are related to
tests that configuration is doing. Apparently readline or
termcap is not as expected on your system, so gnucap is going on
without it. It will work but without command line editing.
The modelgen errors ... The hack to find the just-compiled
version of modelgen did something it shouldn't. The hack uses
the current directory, changes "apps" to "modelgen". But your
path has another "apps" in it, so it changes both so the
resulting path is incorrect. I need to find another way to do
that.
