Please try this:

$ gtags --gtagsconf=/usr/local/share/gtags/gtags.conf
--gtagslabel=universal-ctags --explain

Sure. You can do it using the following command line:

$ 
GTAGSCONF="ctagscom=/usr/local/bin/ctags:gtags_parser=C#\:/usr/local/lib/gtags/universal-ctags.la:langmap=C#\:.cs:"
gtags --explain

Note the presence or absence of the quote before the semicolon.
