I'm beginning to think it's partly cloudy understanding on my part. However,
one thing I haven't seen addressed yet is the "previous" link in the outputs
directory. Could you explain:
* When is it created? When is it changed?
* Is it supposed to always be there?
* Why might it *not* be there?
* Is it documented?
