Well, I changed in the file the command xdg-open with /usr/bin/lp and it prints, I tested with a pdf printer (cups-pdf), the only problem is that when I tried to open the file with the other icon (open file, send mail, print)  it printed again, I will ask in the tryton forums why they use xdg-open if the lp is working or if anyone here knows why the xdg-open is used.

Hello Ronald

So if I change the command xdg-open with the command lp or lpr could I print the reports?

I am not sure, I have not tested it. Please give it an try and let us know how it goes. You might also want to have a look at this Debian Wiki page [1]

Maybe this is for a tryton's forums, but when I try to print any report form gnuhealth(even in other modules of tryton) in a tryton client 2.4 installed in a debian wheezy via pip, the libreoffice is opened, I do the same thing in a tryton client 2.4 for windows and it send the report to the printer directly, do I need any particular configuration in Debian that I should consider?

see Cedric's response to a similar issue [1]
