Dear community
Let me take this opportunity for the translation teams, to take a
look at the current work.
I've noticed that some fields ion the French translation (especially
Selection fields) have issues, since the empty string has been
translated with the field name, and that causes a big problem.
Let me put an example of this issue, with the scenario of Intrauterine
growth restriction (IUGR) in the obstetrics module. The source
(English) selection field has three values
a) "" (Empty field).
b) Symmetrical
c) Asymmetric
The default value is "", that is, no IUGR (or it has not been assessed
yet).
In the French translation, the empty field ("") was translated to
"retard de croissance intra-utérine (RCIU)". The problem is when
reading the record, we think that the fetus had growth issues, when
actually was not the case !
Also, make sure that the translation strings are not longer than in
English, since long translations will lead to "scrolling" and that is
not good :)
Take a look at this screenshot that shows the main issues I found, with
the comments in red.
