I mean the current git head commit,  just skips the checking for the size of time_t. Is this the permanent solution?  Because in 3.19 I didn't see this checking.

What source code do you refer to?  gpsd now has 590,217 lienes of
code, I cant guess what you refer to?

The current stat of git head is close to what 3.21 will be.  Nothing
major pallned before next release, just clearing some bugs and a lot
of testing.
