Good Evening All,

Can anyone shed some light on the –G option for me? It doesn’t appear to work all the time. The only time I’ve seen it work is when I start GPSD from the command line directly.

·       ps aux output: “gpsd -G -N -n -D 1 -F /var/run/gpsd.sock /dev/gps0”

Under both of the follow two (2) conditions (where gpsd is started for me) I see the –G appended to the gpsd process when looking at the ps aux output, but ONLY localhost connections are allowed:

·       I add “-G” to GPSD_OPTIONS in /etc/default/gpsd, enable the systemd service, and reboot the system

o   ps aux output: “/usr/sbin/gpsd -N -G -n -D 1 -F /var/run/gpsd.sock /dev/gps0”

·       I run gpsfake and pass the arguments: –o “-G”

o   ps aux output: “/usr/sbin/gpsd -b -N -S 2947 -F /tmp/gpsfake-32736.sock -P /tmp/ -G
