Uh, this is a new one:

gpsd:ERROR: NTP:SHM: shmat failed,  unit 10: Too many open files(24)

Did you reboot before running this?  What are your system SHM settings?

I don't know the settings, I didn't reboot. It would appear that ipcrm interacts weirdly with regress-driver.

Does macOS document any POSIX incompatibilities in shmat(), shmdt(),
shmctl(), etc?

I have not a clue. Given that it's real probably.

I should learn to communicate less.
