You could take a look at the GNU Herds architecture at [1].
  [1] http://savannah.nongnu.org/cookbook/?func=detailitem&item_id=180

You could download the source code at [2] to take a quick look.

We hope finish the first phase of the "donation pledges" [3] and
"look for volunteers" [4] features this week.

  [4] http://gnuherds.org/volunteers

We have extras and additional features already planned. In some days we will
expose the more important tasks so that Nicodemo, Saugata, you, me and others
interested could pick one to do.

Additionally the project have some advisers, documentalists, translators, etc.
subscribed to this mailing list to help with the project.

If you want, you should follow the steps exposed at [5] to install the
development environment on a Debian 'etch' GNU/Linux system. Debian 'etch' is
required due to some specific PHP libraries.

  [5] http://savannah.nongnu.org/cookbook/?func=detailitem&item_id=155

If you do not use Debian 'etch', you can install Debian 'etch' on a virtual
machine, or even easier, you could just get the Qemu one which Nicodemo has
successfully installed some days ago. It has the GNU Herds webapp ready to
go.

Let us know if you would prefer get a copy of the Nicodemo's Qemu virtual
machine.

We will help you to understand the source code, etc. Ask for anything you
need!

We communicate via this email list. You could subscribe at [6].

 [6] http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/gnuherds-app-dev

However, for thing as helping you install the development environment, etc. we
advise use a more interactive way to communicate, for example, using chat:
Gmail, Yahoo, MSN etc.

As usual, critics, flames, etc. are welcome!
