He doesn't need your benifit of a doubt.  His example is quite straight
forward and easy enough to understand and your just being a DICK.  And
that is how we got into this situation in the first place.  Intolerant
thought police is the signature of a lost generation.

But just to address your real concern here, it wasn't so long ago that
an entire Gay community rose up and tried to exterminate the entire
Jewish community at its root, in a genocidial rage as a prelude to
Chanukah.  That kind of violent bigotry has reared it's head again.  So
I call Kettle black..
