just created a qemu image from ams' snapshot of GNU and noted down
the steps here http://hurd.in/bin/view/Hurd/BuildGNUOnQemu
Seems you didn't know about the qemu image that is already avaiable in
http://www.update.uu.se/~ams/GNU
The steps will be very useful, since I forgot them myself.
