Do you know remeber which X project that was going to use autoconf?
That would be really a wonderful thing for us.

   Though i didn't say "all" of the programs are already packaged, i
   meant that most of the necessary stuff to build a system and get a
   basic configuration running is already packaged.

That is indeed very true.  It is a mostly usable system for hackers
who like the console.
