I also use archive-on-NFS, and library-on-Resier3, and haven't had 
problems with that configuration.  There's no way the archive storage 
mechanism should affect library inode signatures.  If 1.2.1 fixes it, it 
won't be related to the archive storage, but maybe his Reiser3 device 
number is changing for some reason.
