I think you're thinking of library-on-NFS, but that is not this user's configuration. ("The revision library is located on a local filesystem, while the archive is accessed via NFS")


You may be right, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's some less well-known interaction here with NFS that is continuing to cause the problem. I would suggest he try 1.2.1 anyway.

I also use archive-on-NFS, and library-on-Resier3, and haven't had problems with that configuration. There's no way the archive storage mechanism should affect library inode signatures. If 1.2.1 fixes it, it won't be related to the archive storage, but maybe his Reiser3 device number is changing for some reason.
