Whether that is "the right way" is still controversial, and furthermore,
Miles' suggestion is an optimization only; it doesn't change any
semantics, whereas your suggestion does. Let's suppose all the explicit
tags are in {arch} and you've chosen to use tagline instead of explicit.
Then you'd move files with mv, and directories with tla move, which is
just the opposite of what you have to do now when using explicit
tagging. It would only be exchanging one inconsistency with another!
