Just to put a little bit more details of what I have done:

    cvs -d :pserver:address@hidden:/sources/gnokii co gnokii
    cd gnokii
    ./autogen.sh
    make
    cd smsd
    ./smsd
        dlopen error: (null)!
        Cannot load database module pq in directory /usr/local/lib/gnokii!
