Hello people.
I'm trying to connect a nokia 7210 via irda and gnokii on a debian
stable 3.0 (aka woody).
When I start xgnokii, it remain in connection mode even if I put the
phone infront of the irda or not.
This are some config:
$ cat /etc/irda.conf
#irda.conf Version: 1.0
IRDADEV=/dev/ttyS1
#DONGLE= # specify dongle type
DISCOVERY=-s
ENABLE=yes # if you do not need to start irattach, set "no"
$ uname -a
Linux rippingland.bagginslab.it 2.4.23.20031221 #1 Sun Dec 21 14:46:28
CET 2003 i686 unknown
$ dpkg -l | grep -i irda
ii irda-common 0.9.14-17 IrDA management utilities
ii irda-tools 0.9.14-17 IrDA handling tools
$ cat .gnokiirc
[global]
port = /dev/ttyS1
model = 6610
initlength = default
connection = infrared
bindir = /usr/local/sbin/
also tried the connection = irda
I've put the 6610 model 'cause of reading the archive I saw that it's
almost the same of 7210.
If I put the AT model, when I use xgnokii
$ sudo xgnokii
GSM/FBUS init failed!
$ gnokii --version

I've read that Linux-IRDA should be turned off in order to use gnokii
and so I've turned it off.
Some advice?
Thanks a lot,
best regards
D.
