Hi all,
I've started a list of our freedom bugs, and its status upstream.
I've only got about half our freedom bugs in the list, but it is a
start. Hopefully one someone else is willing to take on to finish.
If someone else wants to help work on this, the following would be
helpful (in this order):
- put it in a wiki page somewhere
- put it in a table ?
- email the list (so i can find it)
- find all other gns bug reports about freedom
- find out if they are fixed upstream/wontfix upstream
- if they are open, link to the upstream bug
- extra references for/against a bugs status.
- etc etc. already removed upstream discovery of kilgard code, could get big
fast fixed upstream FIXME: How? if 30% of files are missing
licences, thats big. FIXME: texlive. are we still waiting on a
licence grant? proper fix would involve rebuilding every
package which references non-free software. needinfo. can't be copyrightable... surely. fixed upstream (its in contrib) needinfo linux-libre considers this notabug (I'm
unconvinced) samgee declared 'seems ok' fixed upstream. not in debian debian considers artistic licence ok. debian considers artistic licence ok. fixed upstream fixed upstream (its in non-free) fixed upstream not sure if debian would consider this a
bug. (recommending proprietary frimware) needs better references before filing in
debian. upstream wontfix fixed upstream fixed upstream (openjdk) partly fixed upstream, forwarded seems to be uncopyrightable data fixed upstream( removed) not sure if debian would consider this a
bug. not sure if debian would consider this a
bug. there is a test for it in source, but the
packages don't depend on it... reinclude? More killgard code.

Two other bugs I filed upstream without a bug to attach them to:
