Phil,

would be interested in testing the serial interface abstraction layer for reading out values from one of my (rather old) digital multimeter. So if you need a test here under i386 Linux let me know. Had a look inĀ  libSerial (Pascal version) - looks promising to me.

I have built some GNU-Modula-2 native compiler packages for Debian Stretch running on amd64, i386, and Raspberry Pi (Raspbian) platforms.  They are available from the Munts Technologies Debian package repository at:

http://repo.munts.com/debian9

These packages install everything in /usr/local/gm2 rather than /opt/gm2.

Modules for libsimpleio (http://git.munts.com/libsimpleio) are under development.  Cross-compilers for the Raspberry Pi and BeagleBone microcomputers are also under investigation.
