Yes it works.

I never use the terminal icon in the toolbar since it doesent
obey my fonts and colors and give me a white xterm with tiny

I do not use or have any .Xdefaults file, i cannot recall that
i ever have had any such. But .xinitrc merges any existing
.Xdefaults. I try that..
