Hi,

I decided to take a look at the new engine and I also seem to have the
wavy text.

Basically, I took the following steps:
$ git status
# On branch master
nothing to commit, working directory clean
$ git rev-parse HEAD
9bf75e08199794c4a5fcefcbfe71b5d39f42e46d
$ make devel && make
$ cd ../freetype2-demos
$ git status
# On branch master
nothing to commit, working directory clean
$ git rev-parse HEAD
41f1d2780959f7341e93a75065eed6e66fe21dec
$ make
$ bin/ftview 12 
~/Downloads/SourceCodePro_FontsOnly-1.017/OTF/SourceCodePro-Regular.otf
# then press 6 and H
