Hi,
I believe I already posted this yesterday, but it might have been stripped out
due to too many posts to other hosts. Apologies if you get this twice!

FreeSCI VM Extension
<final draft>
Sean Terrell, Xiaojun Chen, Christoph Reichenbach
Abstract: FreeSCI is a graphical adventure game interpreter based on the Sierra
On-Line Script Interpreter released in the late 1980s. This document details
the design and implementation of an extension to the virtual machine heap which
allows FreeSCI to support a larger address space and, in consequence, bigger
adventure games.
The paper discusses design and implementation issues regarding 'glutton'
(the FreeSCI 0.6 development branch), provides some insight into its
structure, gives a performance evaluation and discusses future work.
It's going to be submitted as the final project paper in a course on
Advanced Operating Systems RSN; any feedback or comments would be greatly
appreciated!
The final draft is available on-line at
http://www.teksolv.de/~jameson/fsci-final.ps
This paper will be made available from the FreeSCI documentation page.
