Hi Paul,

Just my take on these things:

Agreed.

I use notes for any, well, note I need to make about a project. For
instance, I have a conversation with someone about SomeProject, I'll
make a note for it. I finish something in SomeProject I make a note
for it.

This is the section that is most like a "blog" because all my notes
go on the SomeProject *and* the DailyPage.

Schedule and Diary are pretty much synonymous. Thats why I only have
Diary in my set up. However, you could imagine Diary giving you an
overview of what is absolutely due, while Schedule is where you plan
out the day. At some point Sacha had Schedule linked to an external
UNIX utility called "remind". IMHO, the diary integration is more
useful.

I almost never use notes as tasks. Just as an example here is an
excerpt from one of my planner pages...

--------------------------
.#18 Simple shear model 17:34 ([[2004.03.31#3]])

I made a simple deterministic shear model. It certainly gives the
right effect. Needed? Beam pattern, and an intensity profile.
[[/Users/jklymak/revelle/RemoveAliasing/SimpleModel/SimpleModel.m]]

.#17 Garrett Munk 13:55 ([[2004.03.31#1]])

Wrote up horizontal spectra (mostly). Need to do vertical etc.
[[/Users/jklymak/matlab/GarrettMunk2/doc/IntegratingGMSpectra.tex]]

.#16 Garrett and Munk 18:27 ([[2004.03.30#5]])

Made horizontal spectra of Disp, Vel, and Shear. Vertical spectra of
shear. Need to fill this out some more. Improved writeup:
[[/Users/jklymak/matlab/GarrettMunk2/doc/IntegratingGMSpectra.tex]]

.#15 Garret Munk write up is in here: 15:33 ([[2004.03.30#4]])

[[/Users/jklymak/matlab/GarrettMunk2/doc/IntegratingGMSpectra.tex]]

.#14 Garrett and Munk spectra (redux) 21:47 ([[2004.03.25#8]])

This is a more general method that doesn't use all the algebra that
Katz and Briscoe used. Seems to work pretty well for IWEX. Low wave
number behaves differently. Not sure about GM75. Katz and Briscoe
did some weird stuff.

Cheers, Jody
