This seems to be the Gitlab default, see
<https://emba.gnu.org/help/administration/instance_limits.md#pull-mirroring-interval>:

The minimum time between pull refreshes defaults to 300 seconds (5
minutes).

Sounds like we could change it. I'm adding Ted to Cc, he has set up
emba.gnu.org.
