That doesn't really matter, the list lists non-free software packages
and users can easily think that the program is free software (since
there is no license information associated with it).
Do you have an example? Sounds like something that's easy to fix in the package's UI.
Since this web site does almost the same job as the Free Software Directory, why not interface against that instead? That lists exclusivley packages that have been confirmed to be free software.
It does not do the same job. Again, it's not a software catalogue/directory.
