So all the user needs to know is that `C-x 4` is a command and not s keymap. BTW, we have th same problem with `C-x e e`: I can't do `C-x k C-x e e` because `C-x k` stops after `C-x e`. So for the same reason it would be good to make it possible to do `C-x e C-x k e` to find out what `e` is really bound to. Stefan
