Just add a simple comment describing the syntax, please. E.g.:
;; Parens `(', `)' and brackets `[', `]' indicate intervals.
;; A bracket means the start `[' or end `]' point is included.
;; A paren means it is not included. (Standard interval notation.)
Is that so hard?
