Emacs already has the line-spacing setting as frame parameter,
buffer-local variable, and text property.  So, ns-expand-space
can/should be removed.

The semantics are different. line-spacing can only be used to increase line spacing (i.e. add padding between lines). ns-expand- space can be used to expand or shrink.
