Has anybody tried running with XFree86 4.2.0 and run into any font
cache issues?
The problem I'm experiencing is similar to a bug from last year I see
mentioned in the mailing lists, but I didn't see a fix mentioned.
If I start GSTest.app I get:
No Font cache available - building new one (blah blah blah)
[several minutes go by...]
Error - font cache doesn't exist
and then GSTest comes up, but with a large, unattractive font.
I noticed that ~/GNUstep/Library/Fonts/Cache is empty.
Stuff I'm running:
XFree86 4.2.0 using xfs
Linux on a Pentium III, Kernel 2.4.16
xgps 0.7.0 with matching gui and 1.1.0 core
gcc 2.95.3
Any suggestions? Thanks.
