Thinking about it, it might be best to test an external USB keyboard
first - I say this because I have a old windows laptop which I use for
testing Denemo and a year ago it developed a fault: the built-in
keyboard started emitting an alternate set of key codes - nothing to do
with Denemo - and I can't find out how to restore it. But an external
keyboard works fine.
Note that external key pads are not as good for Denemo (nor as cheap!)
as external keyboards with key pad, they have a key which issues
multiple 0's at one press (for filling in prices) which is unhelpful...
