[Demexp-dev] building demexp

I'm trying to build demexp on my amd64, which is a bit
of a nightmare: 150 ubuntu packages installed to get the bulk
of the ocaml stuff .. unfortunately, 3.08.2 which is broken.
I have 3.08.3+3 in /usr/local as well, it is the only
version that will compile Felix, the patch isn't available
in 3.09 CVS (has to be release308 tag) .. it is possible,
since Ocaml ABI changes with every patch, that none of the
binary codes I installed will actually work ..;(

F know why ANYONE would ever install binaries for ocaml
libraries .. the compiler is fast and reliable, source
is the only way. Oh well.

Gerd's rpc builds fine .. but gz doesn't. That C code is broken,
reported to oliv (admin of the project).

ocamlc.opt -ccopt "-D BZ_PREFIX " -c c_gz.c
[]
c_gz.c:203: error: invalid lvalue in assignment

;(
