hey,
(this is related to the 'integrate vim and ddd' reqest I made a little earlier.)
Is there any plans on making the ddd project bonobo compliant - ie: to take
the central 'text' window (used for displaying code) and use vim/emacs instead
of the default text-viewer via bonobo component?
I know that you can pseudo integrate emacs for graphing purposes, and even that
emacs has a vi-mode, but I'm not really interested in that...
1) my hands are so wrapped around vim that any other editor feels
really clunky, and
2) ddd would draw a lot of vi users since vim really doesn't have the
'split text' debugging capability that emacs does (and as I
gather, doesn't want it.)
Anyways, this is really somewhat second-tier because if ddd were a
bonobo-compliant application, people could link in any editor that they wanted
- provided that they wrote to the correct interface. So, has this come up
before? And are there any plans to do something like this?
