This looks good. I'm attaching an initial test suite, which right now
just tests some EXPT cases for fixnums, flonums and bignums. It needs
to be extended to include rationals and complex numbers, as well tests
for general arithmetic cases (this is where a full R5RS test suite
would be nice).
We should probably continue this off-list though.
