Unless some new mechanism was added for MSVC, the Windows binary is hardwired for C:\Program Files. That's not so great, although it does sidestep the issue of "real" installation. The .zip binary contains no documentation of this, nor any of the usual READMEs or INSTALL-CMake.txt, for that matter. The method of installation should at least be documented.
Just for the record: the READMEs (including the note about the installation path) are buried in Chicken\share\chicken\doc\README. But this is next to useless, of course, as it really should be in the toplevel. Anyway, hardwired paths are bad, the CMake build is the only method that works on Windows and I don't have the time or energy to start doing it right (i.e. runtime path configuration and a proper installer). cheers, felix -- http://galinha.ucpel.tche.br:8081/blog/blog.ssp
