That would be 512-byte block 1 and the last 512-byte block in the image.
With zesty-desktop-amd64.iso of Creation Time 2017021008123200:

  dd if=/dev/zero bs=512 count=1 seek=1 conv=notrunc of=zesty-desktop-amd64.iso
  dd if=/dev/zero bs=512 count=1 seek=3103839 of=zesty-desktop-amd64.iso

Afterwards no partition interpreter should see a GPT or its backup.

If there is a DVD drive at the machine then it would be interesting if
it recognozes the original image on DVD and boots properly. El Torito
on DVD is supposed to point EFI to the System Partition as should do
the partition tables on hard disk.
