Dear friends,
Parted has asked me to send you the following bug report:
----------------------------------------------------
Information: The ext2 filesystem passed a basic check. For a more
comprehensive
check, use the e2fsck program.
(parted) select /dev/hdb2
You found a bug in GNU Parted. Please email a bug report to
address@hidden containing the version (1.6.3), and the following message:
Assertion (dev->length > 0) at linux.c:675 in function init_file() failed.
-----------------------------------------------------
Hope it helps. Don't understand this stuff myself.
My system = AMD 1GHz processer, 192MgB RAM, VIA motherboard. The /dev/hdb is a
Maxtor 20Gb hard disc (the second HD in this system). SuSE 8.1 Linux
installed on /dev/hda. As it says, Parted version 1.6.3
Please ask if you need more/different info.
Best
Rod

Attached files come in two versions: an Open Source format (usually *.sxw for
OpenOffice on Linux) and the nearest proprietary substitute (usually *.doc
for MS-Word).
