Hi Karl,

I'm not sure what further work has been done on this.

As a preliminary experiment, I've removed suspect files (using a script; see
attached
log listing all files removed) and then compiled both Iceweasel 1.5.0.1
(iceweasel-1.5.0-g1) and
1.5.0.4-g1. The builds went fine, and Iceweasel seems to run without problems
(though I haven't actually installed; just ran from ./dist/bin/ ). Fast and
stable!

I also tested installing an extension, Page Validator.

I've also run the removal script on SM src (1.0.5 and recent 1.8 branch/1.1b)
and builds have compiled and run without problems.

For SM/IceApe, I imagine there may be more files, as a few directories are
present in the SM source which aren't in Iceweasel.

For what it's worth, in my experience compiling SM, if I've inadvertently failed
to include a new file (for example, an alternate throbber) which I've edited a
jar.mn, etc., to include, the build will fail or incompletely compile.

best,
incognu
